I am a former chef and worked for C.P Hotels in both Halifax NS and St Johns NF back in the 1980's and at the Pines Resort in Digby NS in 1994, you will not get fat during your vacation, lobster is nice, try some of the local fare like Rappee Pie (chicken and potato dish), Kippers if you like smoked fish, but overall there diet is about the same as the rest of the country, there are a number of other ethnic places, Chinese and so on so you have any choices, if you do have lobster, have a full dinner or a Lobster roll, which can be on a bun/roll or toasted bread, it is like our tuna salad, but cold diced lobster with a bit of celery and mayo on a sandwich, some may have lettuce, but that is an option, but what ever you do enjoy yourself and have fun and eat what you want, with no guilt attached.

Seafood is better for you then regular meat. Atlantic Salmon is always better on the east coast. Also, if you are in the Maryland area, try blue crabs. That's what Maryland is famous for. That's where I spent my last holiday. Have fun!
